About Bluestar
A leather production house for the next generation of premium brands.
Founded in 1906 in Belgium, Bluestar combines 120 years of leather manufacturing knowledge with modern B2B production. We help brands develop and produce premium leather belts and leather goods in Europe — not a fashion brand, not a textile producer. Leather only. B2B only.

Our history
Bluestar N.V. was founded by Bernard Auguste Corthals with a simple mission: produce durable leather goods with a strong emphasis on function, reliability, and craftsmanship.
Over generations, the company became a trusted manufacturing partner for institutional and professional clients — police forces, scouting organizations, and workwear brands where product performance and longevity are essential. Not fashion. Function.
Leather belts became our core product, refined over decades through continuous improvement in material selection, stitching techniques, construction methods, and metal hardware integration. At its peak, Bluestar reached approximately €4 million in annual revenue, built on long-term relationships and stable production volumes.
Today, a new generation is steering Bluestar into international markets — not by abandoning what we know, but by combining manufacturing DNA with a fresh design identity. The goal is clear: transform from a traditional manufacturer into a modern European production partner for premium brands worldwide.

Our values
What drives us
Discipline
We've rejected batches for differences smaller than 1 mm. Simple products don't forgive — they expose. That's why they require the highest level of discipline.
Predictability
We invest tens of thousands of euros before production starts. We carry that risk for months. That forces precise decisions and zero room for error.
Proximity
When something goes wrong, you need to fix it fast. Producing close means faster feedback, direct communication, and immediate adjustments. Distance doesn't allow that.
